Clocko Privacy Policy
Effective date:
This policy applies only to the Clocko mobile app and explains, in plain language, what data is processed when you use it. The iceberg-labs.com website has its own privacy policy.
Summary
- Clocko has no accounts, sign-ups or log-ins; we do not collect any personal data ourselves.
- Your jobs, work entries, pay rates and settings are stored on your device and, if iCloud is on, synced only through your own private iCloud account.
- We use no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
- Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.
1. Data controller
The data controller under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is ICEBERG LABS BİLİŞİM TEKNOLOJİ MEDYA VE DIŞ TİCARET A.Ş., S.S. Bakır ve Pirinç Sanayicileri Sitesi, Menekşe Caddesi No: 10/4, Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, Türkiye. Contact: ayberk@iceberg-labs.com
2. Data we collect: none
Clocko has no server holding user data, no account system and no user database. The jobs you enter (name, hourly rate, currency, rules), your work entries (start, end, breaks, notes) and your settings are stored on your device. We have no access to them and they are not sent to us.
3. iCloud sync (Apple)
If iCloud is on, Clocko saves your data to your private iCloud database through Apple's CloudKit, so it appears on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account and survives a device change. This data is held on Apple's servers under your account; we cannot see it. You can turn sync off for Clocko in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.
4. Device permissions
4.1 Notifications (optional, on device)
"Forgot to clock out?" and the daily log reminder are local notifications: scheduled entirely on your device, never sent from a server, and shown only if you allow them.
4.2 Face ID / passcode (optional)
If you turn on the app lock, iOS authentication is used. Face data stays in Apple's secure hardware; the app only receives a "verified / not verified" result.
4.3 Live Activity and widgets
The running timer and weekly summary are written to the app group storage on your device so they can be shown on the Lock Screen and in widgets; they do not leave your device.
5. Purchases (Apple)
Clocko Premium subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by the Apple App Store. Your payment details stay with Apple and are not passed to us. The app checks whether Premium is active on device using Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes purchase and App Store usage data under its own privacy policy.
6. Export and sharing
When you export a PDF or CSV, the file is created on your device and shared only where you choose (e.g. Mail, Files). The recipient is responsible for the data in files you share.
7. Retention and deletion
Your data stays on your device and (if enabled) in your iCloud until you delete it. You can delete entries and jobs in the app. To delete everything, delete the app and, if needed, remove its iCloud data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage → Clocko.
8. Children's privacy
Clocko is a tool for working people and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Your rights (KVKK and GDPR)
You have the right to access your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted and object to processing. Because we hold no data about you, you can exercise these rights largely on your device and in your iCloud settings. For any question: ayberk@iceberg-labs.com
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with an updated effective date.
