PixelColor Privacy Policy
Effective date:
This policy applies only to the PixelColor mobile game and explains, in plain language, what data is processed when you use it. The iceberg-labs.com website has its own privacy policy.
Summary
- PixelColor has no accounts, sign-ups or log-ins; we do not collect any personal data ourselves.
- Your painting progress and the pictures you make from your photos are stored only on your device and never leave it.
- Photo and camera access is used only to turn the photo you pick into a picture on your device; your photos are never uploaded.
- Ads are served by Google AdMob; personalised ads are shown only if you explicitly allow tracking (ATT).
1. Data controller
The data controller under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is ICEBERG LABS BİLİŞİM TEKNOLOJİ MEDYA VE DIŞ TİCARET A.Ş., S.S. Bakır ve Pirinç Sanayicileri Sitesi, Menekşe Caddesi No: 10/4, Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, Türkiye. Contact: ayberk@iceberg-labs.com
2. Data we collect: none
PixelColor has no server holding user data, no account system and no user database. The pictures you paint, your unfinished work, your helper counts, the pixel pictures made from your photos and your settings are stored only on your own device. We have no access to them; they are not sent to us and are not backed up anywhere. If you delete the app, this data is deleted too and we cannot restore it.
3. Device permissions
3.1 Photos (optional)
"Paint your photo" asks for photo library access so it can show your photos inside the app. With iOS's "Selected Photos" option you can allow only specific photos. The photo you pick is converted into a small pixel grid on your device; neither the original nor the resulting picture is sent to any server. When you choose to save a finished picture or video, the app only adds it to your library.
3.2 Camera (optional)
"Take photo" uses the camera only to convert the photo you take. It is processed on your device and not sent anywhere.
3.3 Notifications (optional, on device)
The Picture of the Day reminder is a local notification: it is scheduled entirely on your device, never sent from a server, and shown only if you allow it. Permission is requested after you finish your first picture and can be removed any time in iOS Settings.
None of these permissions is required; you can keep painting the built-in pictures without them.
4. Third-party services
4.1 Google AdMob (ads)
PixelColor is free and shows ads through Google AdMob: interstitial ads between pictures, and optional rewarded ads you choose to watch to earn helpers. While serving ads, Google may process the following data under its own policies:
- Device identifiers (the advertising identifier IDFA if you allow it; the app-specific IDFV)
- Usage data (ad interactions, impression information)
- Diagnostics (crash and performance logs)
- Approximate location (coarse location derived from the IP address; the game does not ask for location permission)
Personalised ads only with permission: if you don't allow iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT), the advertising identifier is not used for tracking and you see only non-personalised ads. The game works the same either way.
In the European Economic Area and the UK (GDPR): a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) is shown before any ads.
Details: Google Privacy Policy · How Google uses data from partner apps
4.2 Apple App Store
The app is distributed through the App Store; downloads and updates are subject to Apple's privacy policy.
5. Data retention
Game data stays on your device until you delete the app. Because we store no user data, there is nothing to delete on our side. Google's and Apple's retention periods are described in their own policies.
6. Children's privacy
PixelColor is suitable for all ages and rated 4+ on the App Store, but it is not directed at children and is not in the Kids category. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you don't want personalised ads on a child's device, simply don't allow ATT tracking.
7. Your rights (KVKK and GDPR)
You have the right to access your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to processing and withdraw consent. In practice:
- Withdraw tracking permission: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Photo, camera and notification permissions: iOS Settings → PixelColor.
- Delete data on your device: deleting the app permanently removes all game data and the pictures made from your photos.

8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time (for example for a new feature or SDK version). The current version is always published on this page with an updated effective date.
