Frequently asked questions

Where is my progress stored?
Every picture you paint, unfinished ones and the pictures you make from your photos are stored only on your device and never sent to a server. If you delete the app, your progress is deleted too and we cannot restore it.
Why does it ask for photo access?
To show your photos inside the app and turn the one you pick into a picture to colour. The conversion happens entirely on your device; your photos are never uploaded. Access is optional and can be changed any time in iOS Settings → PixelColor → Photos.
Why does the picture from my photo look blurry?
Photos are reduced to a small grid of cells. For a more realistic result, choose "Realistic" (96×96) and 24–32 colours on the conversion screen. Close-ups of faces and pets work best.
How do the Magic Wand, Bucket and Find work?
Pick a helper and tap a cell: the Magic Wand paints every touching cell with the same number, the Bucket paints the 5×5 area around it in the right colours, and Find zooms to an unpainted cell of the selected colour. When a helper runs out you can earn more by watching an optional ad.
How do I turn off notifications?
The Picture of the Day reminder is only sent if you allow it. Turn it off in iOS Settings → PixelColor → Notifications.
Found a bug?
Just write to the address below. Including your device model, iOS version, the app version (shown at the bottom of Settings) and how the problem happened helps us fix it much faster.
